Hajime Sorayama opened his latest solo exhibition named “Sorayama explosion” in Nanzika hip gallery of Tokyo on 7th July. The public would have the opportunity to glance and admire his works until 11th of August. Sorayama a widely known futurist famous for his realistic airbrush technique and globally acknowledged for his collections “Sexy Robot” this time shifts to metallic human-scale sculptures engaged in activities of modern men and women. Their outfits are stylish and fashionable. Nonetheless, the painting in “Soroyama explosion” capture curvy ‘fembots’ with vile motives. Few of them show suggesting symbols and words. No doubt Soroyama was inspired by SF movies like “Metropolis”, but also history and mythology.

So how does one fuses technology, beauty and femininity, sex, lust and human-machine coexistence!? Future generations would start their inquiry with the father of “superrealism” – Hajime Soroyama whenever they would look for plausible answers.
