Their NSFW? project explores censorship of words and hashtags on social media, taking a list of banned words from Instagram’s hashtag feature and presenting them in the playful medium of balloon letters.
From the implicit to the explicit, and the surprisingly mundane, a small selection of the restricted hashtags are chosen in order to try and offer an insight into the range of words deemed necessary to censor.
